WAYPOINT COACHING . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Therapeutic Coaching in Exeter
About Me
- Hi, I'm Danielle

For over twenty years, I've worked alongside children, young people, adults and families across social work, education and NHS mental health services. As a registered social worker, therapeutic coach and systemic practitioner, I've supported people through periods of challenge, change and uncertainty. Along the way, I've seen the remarkable capacity people have to adapt, grow and move forward, even when life has taken an unexpected turn.
I noticed that many people reach a point where they understand themselves and their experiences far better than they once did.
The crisis has passed ~ The therapy has finished ~ Life looks different.
And yet there remains a lingering question:
What comes next?
How do you build confidence in yourself again?
How do you create the changes you've been hoping for?
How do you move from understanding your life to actively shaping it?
Waypoint Coaching was created for that part of the journey.
My approach brings together therapeutic understanding, relational and systemic thinking, and practical coaching tools to help you gain clarity, strengthen connections, and move towards meaningful change.
Because a waypoint isn't the destination.
It's the place where you pause, understand where you are, and decide where you want to go next.

How I work
Practical
Insight is important, but so is action. Together we'll identify meaningful goals, understand what's getting in the way, and take realistic steps towards lasting change.
Systemic and relational
Our experiences are shaped by relationships, environments and the stories we carry about ourselves. Exploring these wider patterns can open up new possibilities for change.
Neurodiversity-Affirming
I work alongside many neurodivergent individuals and families. My role isn't to change who you are, but to help you better understand yourself and build a life that works for you.
Compassionate
Meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to try something different. You'll be met with warmth, curiosity and respect.
My Coaching Style
My approach combines therapeutic understanding with practical coaching. I bring over twenty years of experience across social work, education and NHS mental health services, alongside specialist training in psychological coaching, systemic practice, attachment, trauma-informed approaches and motivational interviewing.
People often tell me I'm warm, thoughtful and easy to talk to. I create a space where you can slow down, make sense of what's happening, and explore what matters most.
Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, recognise patterns, build on your strengths and identify changes that feel realistic and aligned with what matters most to you.

A Relational Approach
None of us exist in isolation.
Our relationships, experiences and environments shape how we see ourselves and navigate the world. By exploring these wider influences, we can often make greater sense of present challenges and discover new ways forward.
This doesn't mean dwelling on the past or assigning blame. It's about understanding the patterns that matter, building on strengths, and creating meaningful change in the present.
